EVERY MOMENT COUNTS

We wish you a warm welcome to the Pauline Podbrey Foundation, a non-profit organisation registered in South Africa whose primary focus are on the children of Makhaza, Kayelitsha, a black township approximately 35 kilometres from Cape Town.  Makhaza’s youth face an endemic scourge of drugs and gang violence and unemployment is over 60% for those between the ages of 18 and 35.

WHAT WE DO

SPORT

As Mandela prophesised, sport was the quickest to grow and the way into a range of other activities.

FEEDING

To meet the severe poverty early oats breakfasts are offered to minors, a hot lunch to all 3 days a week.

EDUCATION

The poor quality of the township schools has made this our prime activity.

CULTURE

Regular cultural visits to theatres, science centres and nature walks are arranged on weekends.

CHANGE A LIFE TODAY

As long as poverty, injustice & inequality persist, none of us can truly rest. It doesn’t take much to change a life, Get in touch today and start making the difference.
